The Two Worlds

 

 

    This picture encompasses the two worlds I embrace.  The stark professionalism of the high technology and the simple warm earth tones of farming and ranching are shown together.  My old life was about achieving true computer awareness.  After standing on the cutting edge of technology I asked if this is all there is.  The answer was yes and instead of inventing technology and the endless pursuit of technical nuance, I turned to a more traditional lifestyle of ranching so that my mind would be clear of false knowledge and my body would be strong and healthy from good physical labor and my heart would be strong by caring for others.  A simple pair of good gloves and warm boots is all I need to keep my stress low and my satisfaction high.  It’s a radical departure from my old life.  I have no training in farming, any culture or personal examples of how to do it.  I just have a desire to build something and this is it.
